About Links Choice

What Makes Links Choice Stand Out from the Rest

In 2001 Steve McMillian and a partner started a company called Links Choice, taking over for Garland McMillian, who at 74 has been recycling golf balls for over 60 years. Steve has been recycling golf balls alongside his father since he was in his teens. They pulled balls from the lakes, ponds, the woods and the roughs with the goal of refining and perfecting the refinishing and recycling processes. It’s a business that helps the environment, helps the courses and helps to keep golf affordable for everyone.

Our first piece of equipment was a ringer-type washing machine in the basement, until we burned that up and couldn’t do laundry. Then we invested in different types of ball washers, many utilized by driving ranges for cleaning the range balls each day. As we continued to evolve, we investigated and learned more about how golf balls were made and many of the techniques and equipment used to prep the ball for finishing and printing. As our customers demand grew for our product, so did our entrepreneurial spirit and Links Choice was born out of increasing demand for our products and focus on quality control – along with our need to invest in the best technologies available to meet our own standards. Our name and brand have continued to grow from that family bedrock and having pride in what we do.

We Are Living the American Dream
